The story of the bird
Once upon a time there was a bird and she was free. She would float to the sky,
catching midges for lunch. And she would dive to the summer lakes to catch fish.
And she was like other birds. But she had one habit, every time some event occurred
in her life, whether good or bad this bird picked up a stone from the ground. Every
day she sorted out her stones. Laughing while remembering joyful events, and crying
while remembering sad ones. And this bird she always took her stones with her.
Whether she was flying high in the sky, walking on the earth or diving into the lakes
she never forgot about them. so, the years passed, this free bird she got a lot of stones.
But she still kept on sorting them remembering the past. and it was becoming more
difficult for her to fly. Until one day she was unable to do so. The bird that was free
years ago, could not fly anymore. She could not dive into the lakes anymore and she
was unable to move by her own. Only the rare rain given her the moisture. But this
bird endured all the hardships guarding her precious memories. Soon enough, she
died of starvation and thirst. But what was left on the earth from her was just a pitiful
bunch of worthless stones.
You see in life in your life, don’t remember your bad memories day after day
after day. Because they will drag you down and they will make you unable to move.
Because you won’t be able to fly into the future .to live a fulfilling life if you only
cling to those stones to those memories. And at the same time, don’t rely on past
glories to repeat themselves, just by thinking about them. Go forth, and live a loving
caring and brave life!
