Biography of Alexander Graham Bell
Alexander Graham Bell was an inventor, scientist and teacher. He invented
the first telephone model. He was the first man to transmit the human
voice by means of an electric current.
Alexander was born on 3rd March 1847, in Edinburgh, Scotland. He lived
with his parents and his two brothers. His father was an expert on the
mechanics of speech who was a voice coach for people with speaking
disabilities.
His grandfather was an elocution professor. However, his mother had a
problem in her ear; she could not hear very well.
He patented the telephone in 1876 in the United States. He was
considered the inventor of the telephone for 143 years.
Unfortunately, the USA Congress recognized Antonio Meucci as the real
inventor. This Italian man could not patent the invention because he was
so poor to pay for it.
